Hey there! My name is Kaisha S. Huguley and I am an actor, theatre maker, & creative based in New York City.
Want to know how I got into acting? Well, in 2014, I won an $80,000 wedding from Arena Stage in Washington, D.C. At the time I won this wedding, I was a full time employee of the U.S. Department of State. Winning a wedding from a theatre got me thinking about theatre in a completely different way.
As I sat in the round of the Finchandler Stage at Arena watching Fiddler on the Roof, I couldn’t help but wonder about the experience the actors were having on stage in front of me. Those thoughts excited me and led to begin pursuing a career in theatre shortly after my wedding day. This will forever be one of the best decisions of my life.
This decision not only birthed a move to New York City and a musical theatre career, but also interests and pursuits in several other areas such as content creation, teaching, directing, & intimacy direction. I am very grateful for the path that has led me to my career as multi-hyphenate artist & creative and look forward to continuing this beautiful journey with the anticipation of exciting collaborations ahead.
Biography
Kaisha S. Huguley is a New York based actor, theatre maker, & creative originally born and raised in Washington, D.C. Most recently, Kaisha performed in solo cabaret, Villain Era in promotion of her first EP with the same name at The GreenRoom 42.
Some of Kaisha’s stage credits include Kinky Boots (Arts Center of Coastal Carolina), Miracle on 34th Street (The Argyle Theatre), The Full Monty (Argyle Theatre) and Revelation: The Musical (The Players Theatre).
When Kaisha is not on the stage, she’s creating content for her online fanbase on her TikTok, Podcast: A Kaisha Story, YouTube Channel, and Blog. She finds enjoyment in creating authentic and inspirational content documenting her journey to making her artistic and creative dreams a reality.
Additionally, Kaisha is the Director of Creative Media, Digital Strategy, & Innovation at The American Musical & Dramatic Academy in New York. She develops curriculum and teaches courses on the business of the arts & entertainment industry. Kaisha is committed to giving back to the next generation of artists & creatives.
